Benanti is also celebrated for her work on TV and in movies, with recurring roles on Hulu’s Life & Beth and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Equally acclaimed as both a stage and screen actor, Lewis is best known for leading roles in Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and the title role of Porgy in The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess, for which he received Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award nominations. He is also well known to TV audiences as Senator Edison Davis on the hit drama Scandal.
